Robot J1 Project: Overview


Purpose: Create a robot which is capable of measured, sensual, mobility.

Robot Model J1 must be capable of the following objectives:

  • Avoid damage to self
  • Accept a command, divide it into processes, and execute it within certain operational limits.
  • Follow a protocol which must include:
  • Purpose of process
  • Determining damage threat of process
  • Determining any ethics violations of process
  • Move around in a pre-programmed enviornment, including:
  • Evading minor obstacles, including chairs and boxes
  • Plotting a course taking ethics rules into account
  • Re-plot course during command execution, if necessary
