After the crash

Check this out!

It wasn't much too look at, but it didn't look all that bad. It was a nice first car. Most of all, it got me addicted to luxury seats and loud stereo systems. I put a few stickers on the bumper ("My kid beat up your honor student" my football coach loved that!), as well as a few chrome showgirls on the trunk lid. This car had a V6, and it didn't go very fast, nor did it spare any gas mileage. In fact, I remember one time I was climbing over an overpass, I slammed on the gas, and the transmission slipped into neutral!!! That was fun. This car went through so many different stereo systems, I could not even begin to name the different items. Needless to say, I knew the car inside out. In any case, this car came to it's demise a few days before New Years Eve '95 (It's lifespan reads '96 'cause that's when the insurance people came and took it away :) ). Well, I was sitting on Front St. waiting behind two cars, the first of which was waiting to make a left hand turn. I was there for roughly 10-15 seconds, when WHAM. The next thing I know is my seat lock had broke, and I had a monster lean... like, in the backseat. My CD player had flew out of the console and into the backseat. Well, apparently a young woman had not been paying attention to the road, and decided to make a dent in my car. Well, she did that alright! The car was totaled (I was lucky she didn't hit me any harder, for the gas tank was close to rupturing!). And for the first (and only) time, I got a good insurance settlement, with them giving me the blue book value for it.
